The Pack, who finished the regular season 3rd in the AYHL American division, took on the North Jersey Avalanche on Saturday in the semi-final game. The Avalanche had defeated the Wolf Pack twice during the regular season with the Pack taking an exciting overtime victory from the Avs back in January in Hackensack. This playoff game was also filled with excitement. The Wolf Pack took an early 1 - 0 lead into the second period where they quickly doubled the lead to 2 - 0. The Avalanche didn't quit as they mounted a fierce attack scoring 3 unanswered goals to take a 3 - 2 lead into the intermission. The Pack showed their character by fighting back in a very tight checking 3rd period to tie the score with 6 minutes left. Both teams had chances to win the game in regulation, but the regulation time ended in a 3 - 3 tie. Once again, the two teams were going to overtime. The Pack came out strong in the OT carrying the play and hitting two posts but still were not able to solve the Avs goalie. Mid way through the 3rd the Avalanche tried to capitalize on an odd man rush. But, they rang the cross bar. Then with less than a minute to play, the Pack hit another post but this time a teammate was their to fire home the rebound with 37 seconds left in the overtime period and send them into the finals.

On Sunday in the league finals, the Pack faced off against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers who finished the regular season atop the AYHL standing. Hartford had not lost to the Jr. Flyers during the regular season going 2 - 0 -1. The Wolf Pack came out of the gate with a ferocious attack dominating the play with the puck barely leaving the Flyers zone for the first half of the period. But, they could not find the back of the net. Half way through the first period the Pack were called for their first penalty and the Flyers wasted no time in firing home a power play goal to take a 1 - 0 lead. The Pack fought back to tie the score at 1 early in the second period once again carrying the territorial advantage. But, late in the second period, the Flyers scored three goal in less than five minutes to take a 4 - 1 lead into the intermission. The Wolf Pack were not able to muster up one of their famous third period ambushes and unfortunately fell to the Flyers 5 - 1.  "We played hard and we had a great season, you never want to see it end that way but I am proud of the guys.  It has been a long season and it was fun for me to coach this group and I can't wait to see them move on to the next level if that is where they belong.  We have a few non league games left and than I will get to see them all try out for our junior level teams, it will be great to see," said Yvon Corriveau.

The Jr. Wolf Pack U-16's finish up their season with a home game on 3/14 vs the Boston Advantage at Noon.  "Our Midget U16 team was tremendous this season. We are looking forward to try-outs to see just how many of those players developed and will make a move to the Junior level.  The players did a great job and they were well coached, I am proud of those guys and I am looking forward to wathcing them in April," said GM Chris Cerrella.
