Junior B's Sweep |
-Feb 28 2010 |
The Ct Jr. B Wolfpack swept this weekend 13-0 and 8-4 over the Valley Forge Minuteman, up next playoffs. The Jr. B Pack will find out in the next day who they will face in the first round either the NJ Rockets or the LI Royals depending on the over all seeding. "All the teams in the division match up pretty well against each other. It should not matter who we play if we play the way we have been playing the last month we should be fine. This is an exciting time of the season and I am proud of the way that guys have played, we battled through a lot of adversity and made some smart changes to improve our team and it showed," said Dan McCarthy. The team will get together this week for practice and go to work in order to prepare for another season of playoff hockey. "Practice this week will be short and hard, we have some stuff to go over and will work on our special teams a lot. The guys have been playing well and I feel they have good chemistry right now and that goes a long way during the playoffs. It will be an exciting series no matter who we play," said Chris Cerrella. Forwards Sean McVey (47pts) and Brian Sarosky (45 pts) lead the Jr. B offense, defensemen Mike Busillo (21pts) and Matt Conway (18pts) anchored the blue line and both Sam Peluso and Jake Wint did a great job in between the pipes for the Jr. B Pack.
