2-1 For Jr. B's at Showcase

The Hartford Jr. B Wolf Pack traveled to Walpole, Ma for their final showcase of the season. The team went into the weekend with a goal of 5 out of 6 pts and they came home just one point shy. With two wins over the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and the hard nose Philadelphia Little Flyers the Jr. B's have a lot to write home about.

Their only loss on the weekend came from the hands of the Atlanta Knights a team that stands 31-0-0-1 and has a team of veteran type players.

"They are a very good team an older team we have 3 older players and a lot of 91, 92's and 93's in our line up on an every day basis and it is hard to compete against a team that has 13 players who are 19-20 years old. We were a little intimidate but we held our own and I am proud of the way we competed 5v5 against them as 4 of their 7 goals were on the PP," said Chris Cerrella.

The Jr. B Pack won their first game of the weekend 3-2 and forward Pat McGovern led the charge scoring two goals and goaltender Sam Peluso made 29 saves to seal the deal. Another Philadelphia team felt the wrath of the Jr. B Wolf Pack as Sean McVey scored two goals and Brian Sarosky had 2 assists as the team played put one of its best games together all season beating the Little Flyers 5-1. The team played great defense and goaltender Jake Wint played solid between the pipes for the victory.

"We seemed to respond to the loss to the Knights and we played a great game on Sunday. We got good goaltending, great defense and our offense did a great job as well. We played tough as Philly always brings that element to every game. it was a good win and a great weekend for us as we head down the stretch," said Chris Cerrella.

The Jr. B Wolf Pack only has 6 games remaining before playoffs.
