The Jr. Wolfpack have seen their Assistant Coaches move on over the past few years to new experiences, so not only is the AJHL franchise moving its players on they are also moving on their Assistant Coaches.  After the 2008-2009 season Jr. Wolfpack Assistant Mike Monti moved on to be the Assistant Coach for the Western New England College Bears in the ECAC Northeast Div III.  At the end of the 2009-10 season Assistant Anthony Dipalma moved on to become the Head Coach of the new AJHL Wilkes Barre/Scranton Knights team.  The Jr. Wolfpack searched high and low and have found thier new man Mark Yates who will be the Assistant Coach for the Junior A and B teams for the 2010-11 season.  Mark was born in Cleveland, Ohio and began his hockey career playing for the Cleveland Junior Barons before moving to Arizona where he played Midget and High School hockey.  Mark continued to play post high school with the Summerland Sting of the Kootenay International Hockey League here he received the team's Sportsmanship Award for his actions on the ice and in the community. From Summerland, Mark joined the New England Jr. Huskies of the Eastern Junior Hockey League. Upon completion of his junior hockey career, Yates decided it was time to switch his attention from playing hockey to coaching.  Mark began working with the Phoenix Mustangs Midget AA 16 & Under team, while simultaneously learning about fitness and training as an employee at Fischer Sports, a training and rehab facility for pro athletes.  Knowing that he wanted to continue to learn more about hockey, in 2009 Mark moved back to Massachusetts where he became the Director of Hockey Operations for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell Div I college hockey team.  "We are hapy to have Mark on board with us, we think he is going to do a good job.  He is young and energetic and has the work ethic it takes to be a hockey coach.  He is going to help me coach both teams and will be responsible for on and off ice instruction.  We feel he is going to fit in really well and help make our organization better," said Chris Cerrella.
