Jr. Pack Signing
-Jul 26 2010

The CT Jr. Wolfpack have added some more speed and skill up front with the signing of crafty forward Remo Hunziker.  The Fuellinsdorf, Switzerland native played for the Davos Elite Junior team as well as the U-17 Swiss National team in the past.  Hunziker came to the Jr. Wolfpack by way of the Scanlon Creek "European Selects" team this spring as the crafty forward attracted many Junior and College scouts as he shined during a Eastern Junior Hockey League showcase.  "Remo is a very skilled player and he is going to bring a good dimension to our offense.  He did very well against some good teams in the showcase we saw him in and expect him to do the same things here for us.  We are happy to have him and think he is going to have a good season.  Scanlon Creek did a fantastic job helping Remo get placed, they worked very hard for him and he is in great hands with them," said Chris Cerrella.  Right now Remo is training with Scanlon Creek for the summer to prepare for the upcoming season, "We first saw Remo in Basel, Switzerland, he was looking for an opportunity to play hockey in North America and eventually college.  We knew he was a very talented player with huge potential.  We are very pleased that Remo will be going to a reputable program that has a proven track record of development and promotion of its players," said Matt Smith owner/director of Scanlon Creek International (www.scanloncreekhockey.com).
