Savignac Commits to NEC

The Hartford Jr Wolfpack are proud to announce forward Nicholas Savignac has chosen New England College to extend his academic and hockey career.

NEC is currently in the New England Hockey Conference and play their games at the Lee Clement Arena. The Pilgrims are coached by Head Coach Tom Carroll.

The power forward finished 5th on the Wolfpack in scoring with 4g and 22a for 26pts. "Nicho had a slow start to the season and around Thanksgiving  he really turned it on. He is an exciting player to watch and I think as he continues to grow he is going to make some great things happen over his four-year college career. I am very happy for him and wish Nicho and the Savignac family the best of luck," said Mike Tenney.

The Piepentigny, QC native played at Kents Hill and after his only season at Junior with the Wolfpack, he was ready to make the jump to college hockey, something he has worked for his whole life. "I would like to thank Mike Tenney and the Wolfpack Organization for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of playing college hockey. I would also like to thank my family, former coaches and teammates for being there to support me all through my years of playing hockey. I am excited and proud to be attending New England College in the fall.  I am excited to beginning a new chapter in both my academic and hockey careers. I hope to excel at both and help the Pilgrims continue the success they have had under Coach Carroll. " said Nicholas.
